Letter from Jim

 

The kitchen is the most sacred room in our home.  It’s where holiday memories are made, laughs are shared and seems to be the room everyone gravitates to while entertaining.  As an invited guest in your home, I will take a similar approach and reverence when I cook your meal. I prepare dishes I've been serving my own family for years with flavors perfected through time that will excite your taste buds!  Your complete satisfaction is my ultimate goal.   

Having built a successful career in corporate America and thankful for being able to provide for my two daughters, there was still something missing.  Over the years I’ve entertained my family and friends with my passion for preparing succulent Italian, Latin and American-Continental dishes. I always knew I wanted to do something involving food, but opening the traditional restaurant wasn't it.  My vision was to have more personable experience with an opportunity to forge a direct ongoing bond between customer and Chef.  In contrast, when dining out, the majority of your experience is through the filter of your server. My goal was to combine the convenience of delivery takeout with the freshness and quality of a full service restaurant.

 

Seems as though every Chef can trace their affinity for the culinary arts to grandma's cooking.  The aroma of fresh cilantro and herbs simmering was the norm in our household.  Born in New York City and raised in an Italian neighborhood so rich with food culture, it’s no wonder my recipes are a direct influence of this upbringing which I take tremendous pride in.

 

My culinary experience began working in hotel kitchens as a prep cook over 25 years ago.  I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University’s school of Hotel and Hospitality Management in New Jersey and was provided the opportunity to learn alongside great Chefs who instilled a great foundation.  I was privileged to have been given the opportunity to work for a Marriott hotel in Manhattan; there I honed my culinary skills and prepared meals for the discriminating guests of the Wall Street area.  Over the years I expanded my growth and knowledge managing restaurants, country clubs, and Hilton hotels and currently pursue continual education in the culianary arts. 

 

All of my dishes are Made fresh To Order from scratch…from my sofrito with exotic Latin flavors to my homemade marinara sauce.  This meticulous preparation will have your taste buds thanking you!  Your complete satisfaction is my promise and only priority.
